Dr. Karen Mock


Karen R. Mock, Ph D, is the national director of the League for Human Rights of B'nai Brith Canada, a national agency dedicated to combating racism and bigotry. A registered psychologist, she specializes in human development, interpersonal communication, multiculturalism, and race relations, and lectures, conducts research, seminars, and workshops, as well as publishing in these areas. Before joining the League, Mock worked as a consultant and, for twenty years, in teacher education at the University of Toronto, Ryerson Polytechnical University, and York University. Currently, she oversees research on hate groups and anti-Semitism in Canada, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, and related issues in education and the criminal justice system. Mock is the past president of the Ontario Multicultural Association, a former member of the board of the Urban Alliance on Race Relations, and past chair of the Canadian Multiculturalism Advisory Committee.
